Over 75 Years of Faith & Fellowship
About Gravatt
For seven and a half decades Gravatt has been a place of retreat, restoration, formation, team building, character building, discovery, and recovery.
Mr. St. Julian Cullum donated the land that would become this special place. Bishop John J. Gravatt had the vision of how this land should be used and from a simple beginning began hosting children, youth, church, and community groups – eventually becoming The Bishop Gravatt Center which is now known as Gravatt Camp and Conference Center.
Each summer Gravatt continues its rich tradition of summer camp. The weeks spent under our pines are treasured by thousands of children throughout their lives.
The facilities at Gravatt have changed in structure and location over the years. We offer our guests conference facilities throughout the year and utilize our summer camp property during the spring and fall when weather allows and camp is not in session. We have something for every group who visits Gravatt.
We invite you to explore all that we offer – our facilities, UP Outdoors, team building, challenge course, summer camps, and annual events – then plan your next visit. Gravatt welcomes all faith based groups and non-religious groups alike.
Gravatt is a place of joy and a place of solace, a place of vibrant noise and a place of peace, a place of teaching and a place of learning, a place in the woods that will find a place in your heart. Join us.
