**All interested summer staff applicants should read this information carefully, as there are different requirements for each job category. Interested applicants should check this page for updates and direct any questions to Fletcher Spigner at fletch@campgravatt.org.**
2026 PERMANENT STAFF
- Permanent Staff Applications will be available in the Fall of 2025 on this page. Application links will also be shared via social media, newsletter, etc. as they become available.
- Permanent Staff applicants should plan to be available from May 17th-August 2nd, 2026. While small amounts of time off may be granted for academic or medical reasons, counselors may not take off whole sessions.
- If you apply for Permanent Staff and are not offered a position, you may elect to be considered for Junior Staff if you are of the correct age/grade range. You do not need to fill out a Junior Staff application if this applies to your individual situation.
- Permanent Staff positions are typically filled before Thanksgiving each year.
- While many of our Permanent Staff members have previously served on Junior Staff, this is not a requirement.
2026 JUNIOR STAFF
- Junior Staff Applications will be available in the Fall of 2025 on this page. Application links will also be shared via social media, newsletter, etc. as they become available.
- Junior Staff members are volunteer employees who are typically current 10th-11th graders and have a desire to lead and assist counselors in day-to-day camper activities.
- Junior Staff members serve in one of three session groupings (these will be listed in the application).
- As Junior Staff is an employment position at Gravatt, it is expected that all prospective Junior Staff members will communicate with the director/assistant director on their own, complete their own application, fill out all paperwork, and fulfill any other requirements independently and without the assistance of their parent/guardian.
- While many of our Junior Staff members have previously been Gravatt Explorers or LITs, this is not a requirement.
